Tilt and Slide Doors

Evolved from, and complimenting our Tilt and Turn systems our Tilt & Slide Door offers the facility to ventilate a room while having the opportunity to open up to 50% of the area. The tilt function of the Door, just like a tilt and turn window, enables secure airing to a room where the door is the only opening element in a room.

Unlike French or Folding doors the advantage of this system is the opening leaf slides behind the fixed light taking up minimal space within the room.

The Tilt & Slide Door allows the possibility to match window and door profiles throughout a project - creating a unified and harmonious appearance.

This range is available as either a timber or aluminium-clad construction.

Overview

Door frames are manufactured from preservative treated laminated Scandinavian slow-grown Redwood. The timber is manufactured from engineered laminated profiles to ensure structural integrity and durability.

Standard door leaf construction utilises engineered laminated timber with the option for insulated composite panels with wood veneer or high durability MDF, depending on design and finish.

Factory finished two-coat paint or stain.

Factory fitted double or triple-glazing.

Multi-point espagnolette security locking.

Timber threshold. Due to the design of the frame the Tilt & Slide door cannot be supplied with low-entry thresholds suitable for mobility access.

Glazing choices

Standard - Double-glazed with soft-coat low-e and Argon gas filling with a centrepane u-value of 1.1W/m2K. In addition specifying the latest "Warm Edge" spacers' technology for the glazing unit can further reduce the whole window U-value.

Triple-glazed doors are available in the same opening options.

Safety glass can be provided either as toughened; or a laminated glass can be added for enhanced safety and security.

Other specialist glazed units incorporating solar control, acoustic, and self-cleaning are available.

Standard - Lockable Hoppe Tokyo Handle (inside only as standard).

Standard - Internal running gear covers available in brown and white.

Standard - External bottom aluminium drip in brown, white and silver (timber models only).

Optional - Trickle ventilator situated in the sash- available in brown, white or aluminium.

Optional - Insect screens.
