Lift and Slide Doors

Due to its robust construction the Nordica Lift & Slide Door is amongst the most flexible available - giving a wide range of sliding options and sizes.

The effortless lift & slide action allows large or heavy door elements to be moved with ease. Operated by the door handle - this allows the sliding leaf to drop a to the closed position, compressing the weather-seals, and closing the door into locking points around the frame, for high security and draught-proofing. There is a secure ventilation position, and the door can also be lowered at any point along its track to prevent it from moving whilst open. When the door is lifted, the seals disengage with the frame allowing a smooth friction free operation - even on the largest doors.

This range is available as either a timber or aluminium-clad construction.

Overview

Door frames are manufactured from preservative treated laminated Scandinavian slow-grown Redwood. The timber is manufactured from engineered laminated profiles to ensure structural integrity and durability.

Standard door leaf construction utilises engineered laminated timber.

Factory finished two-coat paint or stain.

Factory fitted double or triple-glazing.

Multi-point security locking.

Aluminium, or hardwood threshold, depending of specification.

Lift & Slide door enables the usage of a low threshold where mobility access may be a consideration.

Glazing choices

Standard - Double-glazed units with soft-coat low-e and Argon gas filling with a centre-pane u-value of 1.1W/m2K.

Triple-glazed doors are available in the same opening options.

Safety glass can be provided either as toughened; or a laminated glass can be added for enhanced safety and security.

Obscure glass can offered in sandblasted or in a variety of decorative glass for extra privacy.

Other specialist glazed units incorporating solar control, acoustic, and self-cleaning are available.
