Models

Sliding Sash with spiral balances

A modern solution for a traditional window; comprising the classical look with ease of use, especially with large windows.

Fitted with torso balance springs for a smooth operation, the balances are situated unobtrusively in a purpose made groove to the frame. Ogee mouldings are applied to the inside of the sash profiles.

Tilt option: you can choose to include a tilt function to the sashes for easy cleaning.

Sliding sash with cords & weights

The most classic type of box sash. It is equipped with traditional leaded weights with sash cords which are operated thanks to special pulleys that are available in many shapes, colours and finishes that offer a very good match to the interior of the building. Suited to conservation area requirements. The sashes have a decorative Ovolo moulding; the glazing beads and glazing bars are made to match that profile very closely. We can also offer a single glazed window with traditional putty. It is an ideal window for historical or listed buildings.

Sliding sash with chains & weights

Is a very similar type of window to the cords & weights system but instead of cords the windows are equipped with thin chains. They are available in several shapes and finishes to match the pulleys and locks. The chains add charm to the window and improves the appearance of the interior.

Mock sliding sash

It has been designed for buildings that require a classic appearance but also ease of use, security, very good tightness and thermal insulation at the same time. This window is a tilt & turn inward opening window which is re-designed to give the impression of the vertical sliding sash. On the outside it even has the traditional horns. A perfect combination of tradition and modern technology.

Glazing choices

Standard - Double-glazed units 4-18-4mm with soft-coat low-e and Argon gas filling with a centre-pane u-value of 1.1W/m2K. In addition, specifying the latest "Warm Edge" spacers' technology for the glazing unit can further reduce the whole window U-value.

Safety glass can be provided either as toughened; or a laminated glass can be added for enhanced safety and security.

Obscure glass can offered in sandblasted or in a variety of decorative glass for extra privacy.

Other specialist glazed units incorporating solar control, acoustic, and self-cleaning are available.

Glazing bars

Decorative glazing bars are a slimmer, more elegant answer to those who wish to create a traditional appearance. With a choice of styles and widths to suit your project. The permanently applied bars together with internal spacer bars between the glass gives the appearance of panes created from separated glazed units, as would have been done traditionally.

Accessories

Standard - Sash lifts on the bottom sash available in white, brass or silver.

Standard - Lockable sash catch available in white, brass or silver.

Standard - Trickle ventilator - available in brown, white or aluminium.

Optional - Opening restrictors / child safety catch.
